4th Transfer: Week 4 ~ "I Promise We Are Not On Vacation:)"

Okay where should I begin? My week has been pretty good.. just very stressful :) but .. oh well. Heavenly Father has really been pushing me this week. It has been so very stressful to where a blood vessel has popped in my eye and it hurts! Unless it's pink eye...I don't know but I will be going to the doctor soon.. haha. So no worries :)

On Monday we had the chance to go to Atlantis and it was a lot of fun! (of course I have pictures). It had 3 aquariums and a huge casino. The rest was just water slides in stuff which we couldn't do. But we did go down to the beach which was nice. So P-day was a lot of fun! :)

Throughout the week the other off island sisters came to stay in our house for the conference. They flew into Nassau on Wednesday so we had 10 sisters in one little apartment. They came from the Camans and Turks. We had Zone Conference on Friday and Elder Cornish (of the seventy) came which was pretty cool. We had the other 4 elders from Freeport fly in and we had to go and pick them up. So in all we had 14 missionaries in the little Relief Society room having zone conference with a general authority. Talk about awesome. The not awesome part was that Heavenly Father has such a sense of humor, that he prompted this General Authority to call on me to give my talk. Prior to this event I was praying to my Father in Heaven asking him to please have Him not let anyone feel prompted to call on me to speak. After my prayers I just knew I was going to be called on. It was like He was laughing at me! HAHA! I just knew I was going to be called so I prepared my talk and sure enough I gave it. All the missionaries needed to hear my talk apparently they all were touched. I even saw them take notes and most even teared up because of the Spirit that they felt. It made me feel good but of course I was prompted by the Spirit in knowing what to write in my talk. I shared my personal experience and related it to the topic. It was great. Elder Cornish was impressed by my talk and really liked it he said. So PHEW. I was so relieved after it was over. But anyway it was a nice experience.

Back in Ochi, me and Sister Bailey taught this man Eli for months :) and he just got baptized!! So he is considered our baptism! How cool is that?! It was a cool story. We were teaching his friend at the car wash then all of a sudden Eli came up and was interested. His friend we were teaching ended up dropping us but Eli ended up being baptized. So all in all I have 2 baptisms on my mission. It just feels good to know they those baptisms are GOOD baptisms because I know they both will stay in the church and endure.

Anyway.. that was pretty much my week! it was a pretty good week :) Also I am learning Creole! It's pretty cool even if I say so myself :) Well mom I can't wait to read your e-mails you have sent me to see how the family is doing!! LOVE YOU

-Sis Judd

Her response to my email:

Hey Mom!! It is miserable to not have A.C. But.. I am used to sweating it feels like thats just the way life is now.. is to always sweat. So I don't know how it feels to not sweat. Ha! Thats awesome that you have the desire to share the gospel! The gospel is so very important for all of our brothers and sisters here on the earth. I just know I will continue to share this even after my mission. We give our members little Mormon.org cards and we put our information on it as well as mormonchannel.org so when they see the little clips they may get interested and give us a call. Maybe thats what you can do as well! Get little mormon.org cards and put the missionary information on it as well. I just know members can do so much good. The missionaries leave but the members are always there so befriending those who are investigating the church is so very important. It's a new environment and it can be a scary thing. So thats awesome that you have the desire to share it! I LOVE THAT! I got Nana's box. In there were huge bags of junk food. I got her card and her home made flower pot thing. Tell her thank you for the things she sent me. As for your boxes I haven't gotten them. I know you sent me some clothes.. I really need those clothes haha.. because my green skirt broke.. the zipper fell off.. and all my other ones I am just getting annoyed by. But its okay.. I will just get it when I go back to Jamaica again I guess. Did you say the makeup was in that box too?? Thank you for everything and I just love hearing about how the family is doing and I am so glad all of you are doing awesome! :)

I love this thanks for sharing. Being obedient is huge for being out on your mission. I always strive to stay obedient and do what is right so I can have the Spirit to be with me always. I have been trying to recognize the Spirit more... some times it is difficult for me. Some times I freak out because I ask myself am I doing some thing wrong for me not to have the spirit with me??? I even pray and repent for every little thing its like I freak out.. but I just know he knows the desires of my heart.. So I always have to keep that in mind.

We have a hurricane coming but thankfully it's going around us! So now they have changed it to a tropical storm. I can't wait :) I'm excited because we need some rain! It's too hot! I have been thinking a lot about you guys. Maybe its because my companion is leaving me this week. She is flying back home to Georgia on Sept. 2! My goodness.

We can definitely come back to the Bahamas and have a vacation. You would LOVE NASSAU! Paradise Island is truly PARADISE. It is amazing we have the best P-days I swear. There are tons to do here. We would never be bored. For sure. I honestly have to say this is my favorite area thus far :)

I knew Eli would get baptized :) He has a sweet little family and he always carried around his pamphlet and his Book of Mormon. He would read it when times got hard for him. So he is awesome and I just know that his kids will get baptized as well! They are a sweet little family. He is a single Father :) I don't know who baptized him but I do know he is my convert! woohoo! It was wonderful to hear :)

Yeah Satan is the worst dude ever. I do not like him... it stinks that he had to be cast down here.. he should have his own planet where he can stay for eternity and never go loose ever, ever, ever ,ever again.

Trying to share the gospel in Atlantis... He didn't accept.

Pictures of Atlantis!

Atlantis!! Creepy ole crabs in the Caribbean Sea + us being silly as always (You know me)

I promise I didn't gamble hahaha! this casino was so fun to be in not gonna lie!

I promise we are not on vacation :) ...................LIES! We totally are! We serve in the BAHAMAS! HA!

Really pretty road on a way to a lesson! and me and my MTC Companions! We are all off island. Sister B and Sister S are at Turks.

Jamaican Food! At a dinner appointment. :)

Any investigators? Yeah.. just a couple. Since everyone works here its really hard to have appointments here in Nassau. So.. we have this lady Rhada and her daughter Narissa. Narissa is interested in going to BYU Idaho. Her mom Rhada saw us on the road walking and she pulled over and stopped us and asked if BYU was related to our church. We said of course! and we have been teaching her ever since. So she is a new investigator of ours. Narissa heard about BYU Idaho as she was looking for colleges online at school. She became interested in the school because its affordable. She also loves our standards. Narissa is very modest and she is such a cute girl! I can see them being LDS. Rhada is a single mother and its just her and her daughter at home. They are wonderful. Julian (Baptist Pastor) dropped us. We refused to really teach him anymore because he was talking about starting his own church. When we were teaching him we felt like he was going to use our information as doctrine for his own church. So we are no longer teaching him, but he is in our prayers. I don't deal with priestcraft! It's ridiculous.

Are all 4 of you sisters serving in the same ward? Yeah all 4 of us are in the branch. Its not a ward :) its a small branch .. we have over 500 less actives. We have a meal calendar that gets passed around and we get fed! We have about.... maybe.. 2 meal appointments throughout our week.. maybe even 3.

Elder Cornish told me some thing that I know he was prompted to tell me to tell you guys. He said that being in the military has been a blessing in his life (he lived in Warner Robins as well). We had much in common, so i can say that I am friends with a general authority haha! Anyway, he said that that is when you can see the Lord work in your life because the Lord is in charge of where you go. So I know for a fact you are in Del Rio, Texas for some reason. You may not see the blessings now but they will come. The Lord knows best :)

Yes.. Elder Cornish was prompted to pick people to give the talks. So me and Sister Oman spoke on The Doctrine of Christ and then Sister Bailey and Elder Fitkau spoke on the Process of Conversion. So it was cool. ALL 4 of us in Nassau gave talks and I said the closing prayer! Talk about receiving blessings. It was a good zone conference...a stressful one.. but it was good.

Visiting teaching is so important! President Brown looked at our branch at the fireside on Friday night and talked about missionary work. He said "There are over 500 less actives in this branch, so what are you going to do? We need to get up and find these people and bring them back!" He stresses this in every branch I have been to.

He did the fireside on Friday night and our zone conference was throughout the whole day pretty much. It was wonderful. Elder Cornish is actually over our area. That's why he came. :) He lives in the Domican Republic.

I have really learned boldness since I have been out. Me and Sister Woolf actually talked about that! She said.. haven't you noticed all the sisters in this mission are bold?! Elder Cornish was awesome. He wanted all of us to be in the leadership meeting before zone conference because he said "You all will be future leaders, since you have been called to serve on these islands". It was awesome to hear that from a general authority. It made me feel like I was doing something right.

Today for P-day we are probably just going to take more pictures. Today is Sister Woolfs last P-day, so whatever she wants to do we will do today. Its so sad! because I will be in a trio. I will be the only one running my area for at least a week. I'm nervous but I know it will be fine.

Well mom I love you so much and let the family know that they are in my prayers and that I love them. I love you all and hope your week will be good and I know the Lord is always mindful of all of you. Keep pressing forward. Mom, even though some days might be hard, set some time for yourself and relax with Lauren on the couch or some thing! I love you my family! Take care!! I will talk to you all Next Monday :)

LOVE YOU ALL!

4th Transfer: Week 3 ~ "A STRESSFUL Week"

Hey mom! How was your week?!

My week was STRESSFUL and very tiring. We literally had ZERO appointments almost all week. Every time we make appointments they all cancel. They make all these excuses for us to not come by and see them. Even when we knock on doors and try to find noone cares about the message and every time we call noone answers. They probably put us in their phone as (don't pick up this phone call). Its horrible. Everyone works. We seriously sat in our car stressed out and praying to know where to go because we had tried everything. We got the branch directory and called every single person on the list! All of them either didn't pick up or they were "too busy" for us to come by. We got so desperate that we went to the funeral home to put our names on the list as clergy. So.. we are really trying here but I feel like nothing is working. I guess its something that I have to keep praying about.. and I know I am supposed to learn some thing from this but I don't know what. Its frustrating but I know I was sent here for a reason. I do my best to not give up. Even though its hard. I just gotta keep going with Faith in Christ. Its just so important cause once He trusts you then he will put people who are ready in your path.

But anyway, I had to give a talk yesterday which was stressful but it went pretty good. On top of that I have 2 more talks to prepare because Elder Cornish (of the seventy) is coming for Zone Conference this Friday. He is also having a fireside with the members of the branch here in Nassau. President Brown wants us to prepare 2 talks and it is stressful. Hopefully he won't call on me to give the talks (he will call on anyone to give the talks we just have to be prepared).

Something cool that I forgot to mention is that last week us 4 missionaries started and English Class since everyone speaks Creole. Many don't speak english so we are now teaching them English! Now they can say "hello" and know how to say a prayer. Its pretty cool :) We have a lot of people who attend. Maybe 15.... President Ferdinand told us we will be having more attend this Thursday. President Ferdinand reminds me exactly of President Rodriguez back in Georgia. I love our branch president here.

I forgot to tell you!!!! Oh my goodness how could I forget I am a horrible daughter! Soooo I received your birthday box the day after my birthday!!! OH MY GOODNESS I loved everything that you gave me. I loved the hair bands, I loved the sweets, I was excited for the Ipod and speakers and for my new journal! and etc.....! I loved every thing that you gave me in the box. Believe it or not, I absolutely loved the letters. Chandlers card that he gave me was so sweet! I loved it. Your card was beautiful and you touched me with what you wrote for me :) I loved Adams card it made me laugh haha! and cute little Laurens cards. Tell her I loved the dog and the frog! Thank you so much for the box. It made me so happy :) I loved everything in it. I even saved the cards. I taped them in my journal.

I read a scripture this morning in 2 Nephi 31 and it talks about faith. That is why the Savior came and manifested himself to the world. Because of ones faith he can perform miracles in their lives and fortunately Dad's faith has always been strong. Its because he reads and ponders the scriptures every morning and because of that, his relationship and his trust in the Savior has grown! Which makes his faith grow! Which then leads to always abounding in good works! The Lord blesses those that come unto him! How loving it is of the Lord to give the men the power and authority to act in Gods name. I love Priesthood power!

How does Jamaica compare? Jamaica was easy compared to this. Even though Ocho Rios was one of the hardest areas in Jamaica. But everyone in Jamaica was pretty much free to go and see. We would climb mountains up to peoples houses and just know that they are home so we always dropped by. We knew where to go but then I came here and there is literally NOONE in the morning. Everyone works or they don't have the desire to talk to the missionaries. The members love us but its just they all are busy with work. We have dinner appointments. The members here are so nice to feed us. For P-Day today we are actually going to Atlantis. We have a church member who works there and is letting us in free! We just pay for parking :) So I am so excited!!

Last Monday was a lot of fun, we went to Junkanoo which was legit (I have pictures) and then we went to the Ballards house. They live in a legit mansion. It has been around since 1940's and I guess some Captain that led a war lived in that house so it has a ton of history. It even has an elevator and downstairs in their basement is another house. They used to have church down there back in the day. So it is crazy huge! and they fed us dinner. We took a picture in their backyard. They have a huge pool right next to the ocean overlooking paradise island. It was insane. I felt rich. Brother Ballard is in the Branch Presidency.

The Ballards mansions' backyard. They not only have one HUGE MANSION but then in their yard they own 3 more houses. So when I come here on my honeymoon I will be staying in one of their houses HA

This is a really beautiful picture. I was being silly and this is the shot that came out. I look like a hot mess ROFL! Then the second picture is when they begin making the costumes and then the final product. The make it out of cardboard and tissue paper.

Sister Oman made me cheesecake with Strawberries on top. It was like a party in my mouth!

Then Sister Woolf and I got lost and ended up down by the beach. :)

The beach. It reminds me of a scene in Lion King.

This is proof that noone wants us to come and see them. That text defines our week.

We helped decorate for a baby shower. Unfortunately, Sister Saintil is the one who made the baby in the watermelon. It looks amazing.

And then the food we had at a members home. It was soooo good I ate everything on my plate. It was fried Plaintan and Coleslaw! and peas a rice and veggies. It was so good.

Well Mom, I have to go my time is up I love you all!! TAKE CARE! TALK TO YOU NEXT MONDAY!! :)

4th Transfer: Week 2 ~ "WOOHOO 20 BABY!!!"

Let's hasten this work!!

SO I am an ADULT! WOOHOO 20 BABY!!! No more teen years. Leaving all the teen mess behind me and time to move forward with faith, focus on my mission and then come home and raise my family in this wonderful gospel! I can just see my future right now. Its just all going to be a life full of blessings!

This is what I look like when I am trying
to share the gospel with those that don't
 want to open the door.
So this week has been awesome....a lot of work. I can officially say that yes, Ocho Rios was hard but getting a hold of people and actually having set appointments is a main problem with the people here. Ummm soo....me and Sister Woolf have literally taken some days and called EVERYONE in our area book (less actives, former investigators etc...) and we finally found some people (which is good) but everyone works here so its hard to have set appointments. We got so desperate that me and Sister Woolf parked somewhere and just started knocking on doors. The funny part is that they never open their doors here! They talk with
This is what we do when our appts.
cancel and we are trying to figure out
where people  live so we can just drop in.
We end up looking like tourists.
us through the windows and its like what the heck!! We are just here to share the gospel!!! We just want you to JOIN OUR CHURCH THATS ALL PEOPLE!:) It was pretty hilarious not going to lie. But on the bright side of things we found an awesome less active. His name is R. He was a branch president in Haiti and he just came to the Bahamas. He is married to a woman who is part of a different church and so he is less active. We contacted him and he was so excited for us to come over. We have a member who is dating a non member. They are going to get married then her boyfriend will be baptized. Then they can get sealed in the temple! They are awesome people and I can see them having a bright future.

We have 2 investigators. D and then we have J who is actually going to be the future Baptist pastor when his dad passes it on to him. The crazy thing is he LOVES our church. He knows it to be true. He sustains our
Gorgeous view!
prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and knows he has been called of God to lead us in these latter days. He knows the prophet Joseph Smith did indeed translate the Book of Mormon and he knows it to be the word of God! SAY WHAT?!! But the only thing keeping him back from being baptized is that if he gets baptized his family won't speak to him again. So he will lose his family. Another thing....he asked if he could just start his own church. Of course we said NO! I then was prompted to talk to him about priestcraft and told him the story of Zeezrom and Amulek. I told him that we don't just preach to get the praise of others, or get paid for going to church
Goofing around last P-Day at the Coyster
on Paradise Island!
and preaching to the people. But that we go with a sincere and humble heart. We are there because we know it is a commandment and we do it out of love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as our Father in Heaven. So he understood all of that and it really hit him and it made sense. So he said he will be praying really hard about what he should do. I told him about having trust in his Lord and Savior and for him to know he is always there for him. The Spirit was the teacher not me in that moment. That was one amazing experience that I had where words were coming out of my mouth and I wasn't even thinking about what to say. What a blessing that was
At the Coyster
for him. The Spirit was there. So that was one very cool experience. He has also been coming to church every Sunday on time for sacrament so he is an awesome investigator.

Thanks for the uplifting messages about me being part of the Lord's army. I think about that every day. I just love to know that I am fighting for my Lord and Savior! I am on HIS SIDE not on the Dragons side! I will forever be apart of this war against that evil man. He is an enemy to God and he should be
Downtown Nassau! See the Disney
cruise ship?! Pretty cool.
an enemy to all of us! I know that Satan and his followers are working very hard, but God is stronger and as long as we lean on him and pray to him always, he will uplift us. We will have our armor on so when Satans fiery darts come at us they will have no effect on us! I love this gospel so much it has brought me so close to my Father in Heaven and the love that I have for my Savior is just so overwhelming at times. I can just feel the love they have for me and for you (my family) so much through the Spirit that I feel in my heart each and every day. My favorite man in the Book of Mormon is Captain Moroni! What a fighter!! I just love him. I want to meet him one day! Captain Moroni encourages me to keep fighting for what I believe
Dudes at Junganoo
in and fight against evil. He is awesome. My testimony has grown so much thats for sure.

We had a really fun experience yesterday! It was so fun.....we were driving and we saw these guys playing the drums with their hands and I knew they worked at Junganoo which is a touristy fun place on paradise island (we will be going today on my birthday!). I rolled down the window and asked if they worked at Junganoo and they said yes and I was like NO way. Can I take my picture with you?! They all got so flipping excited they got their costumes and everything! It was awesome! I have never been to Junganoo but we are going today for my birthday. I will take pictures and tell you all about it next
Companionship!!
Monday :) Everything cool is on Paradise island. Its so fun, perfect P-Day activities!

Well as for today.. I was fooled and got floured very early this morning. I was still half asleep. They got me to go outside to look at this huge moon and then at the same time Sister Bailey came up and floured me! Shake my head! These wicked sisters! hahaha just kidding I love
them all. They are so funny. Oh did I tell you Sister Brown called me today to wish me a happy birthday! It was so sweet of her to do that, and it made me laugh to know that you and Sister Hall talked! That is so awesome! Right after you called she called me on the phone! She was so happy! It was so funnny :)

Nassau.... the weather here is very hot. I think its hotter than Jamaica actually because it is flatter here.... and smaller and the weird part is there is absolutely NO BREEZE at all here... plus we have humidity. So it is very
No more looking........I have found
my husband
hot. But thank goodness our church building has AC and so does our house. Which is wonderful. The AC helps me sleep very good at night. Although I have been getting these weird bites at night. We don't know what the bugs look like or where they're coming from but our bites are all over our thighs and they're big and red and puffy!
Itches so bad I have never seen anything like it. Its not ritsy they have poverty here. Some parts look like Jamaica but its definitely a lot better here than it is in Jamaica. They do have the rich parts where people who come from England live and buy big houses. But the majority is poverty.

Look at Sister Bailey drinking her
baby frosty! I thought it was
hilarious!! Blog worthy!
I am so excited to know I will be getting my package! yayyyy! thanks so much mom! Today will be a great day :) I am happy to know you and the family are doing awesome! That is so cute that Lauren picked me a birthday card! Tell her I love her so much. Oh my goodness she is adorable I can't wait to see her again! I have already been out
for 5 months! and I feel like I have been out forever. This RM came here Sunday and asked how long I have been out. I told him 5 months and he said "oh your new!" I thought to myself... No sir.. I have been out for years and this is my second area. ha! It will fly by pretty fast! I will be skyping you guys on Christmas! So by then I will have been out for 9 months! then 5 months later i will be skyping you again for Mothers Day! Then I will be home 4 months after that. Not like I'm counting down the days or anything haha.
My birthday gift from my
sweet companion!
We are having a blast here! All those pictures are definitely blog worthy. Me and Sister Woolf keep saying "I can't believe we have been called to serve in the Bahamas!" How hilarious is that? The four of us just use one car and stay together on P-days :) Its a lot of fun. People will think we are on vacation but its a lot of hard work :) I am thankful to be here in Nassau.

Well Mom thanks for the birthday wishes and tell the family thank you so much for me too. I love you all and it was good talking to you. I always look forward to P-Days so I can talk to my family. Glad to hear everyone is doing great and hopefully
We tried to be like the Beatles picture
 on their album cover
you will get my pictures and your account will work :) haha! Love you all so much! I will talk to you next Monday! and don't worry about today, my birthday is going great and we are going to have a lot of fun today. I LOVE YOU MOM AND LOVE MY FAMILY!!!  BYE!

4th Transfer: Week 1 ~ "I am in Nassau!!!!! WOOHOO!!"

Me and Sister Bailey at our house
for the last time:(
Hey Mom I am in Nassau!!!!! WOOHOO!! I was so very sad to leave Jamaica:(. I said good bye to everyone. Everyone signed in my journal :). It has been such a wonderful blessing to see what me and Sister Bailey have done for Ochi. The families that we reactived now go to church every Sunday. They sacrifice to go to church. All the members called us their missionaries and I told everyone that we will meet again!

I was so unhappy to come here but now that I am here I absolutely love it! It is a 2nd world country and the only tourist part is a separate island called Paradise Island. To get there you cross over a
President Lester at his new house
huge long bridge that connects us to it. That is where all the tourist things are. One day I want to go to Paradise island for a p-day! Then downtown Nassau has one little strip of little shops. The flight was 1 hr and 30 min. I cringed! My bags were almost over weight so i will be sending a lot of things home. I am wearing cute things again because we have AC inside our church building :) Woohoo! Oh yeah, I have an address so if you want to send me something you can send it directly here to Nassau. We use Bahamian money and American money together. Isn't that weird? It gets confusing sometimes and guess what?! I e-mail at the church now! No more internet shops and them shutting down on me! Oh my goodness FREEDOM!
Ochi Market
Africans and Haitians live here. Haitians speak Creole which is French and Patois mixed together. So you know how Jamaicans just speak Patois? Patois is English and some Spanish. Creole is French and some Patois mixed together. Our members speak English even though they are from Haiti. If we have an investigator who speaks Creole we bring a translator. How cool is that?!

A funny story this week. I went inside the grocery store here and I had culture shock!!! It looked like a mini walmart! I was sooo happy I almost started to cry!
Forest Fire
There was food everywhere, lighting and a little bit of AC and they didn't have food that was expired!! I was so happy! They sell lowfat milk here...finally. In Jamaica they only sold pure cows milk. Even though it is a 2nd world country everything looked so amazing to me. I think I have forgotten what America is like. So don't be surprised if when I come home I have culture shock. I thought this kind of looked like America and everyone is like "this is nothing like America, its a 2nd world country" so.. I have officially forgotten what it is like there.

I absolutely LOVE NASSAU! All the people here are so amazing and NICE!! They're so very sweet. It is so wonderful here. These 6 months
Sister Bailey, Sister Walker
and me with Marj
will fly by so fast! My companion, Sister Woolf, is really nice. We know each other so well already. We have seen every side of each other. She is a sweet sister and I love her. She is going home in September. She is awesome and I am happy to be with her. Sister Woolf even said that this might be a nice transition stage for her before she goes home because she said that she had major culture shock coming here from Jamaica however there is poverty here as well. But I won't forget patois, me and Sister Bailey talk it all the time...even me and Sister Woolf haha! I know the Lord puts me with my companions for a reason but I have learned
Tracy and Rohan's Family
that Satan works on companionships first. I know that without a doubt! because it all starts with the companionship working together to have the Spirit there in our lessons. These sisters are awesome though. We all have different weaknesses and we can still be there to uplift one another. I have really learned to love these sisters so very much!

The work here is very hard because everyone works. In Jamaica nobody worked so we could see anyone when we wanted. But here they all hide and work! So when we make appointments they all cancel! but its okay we are doing our best here.

This is cute little old Sister Whiley
I had a cool experience. We decided to just find so Sister Woolf looked at me and said, "okay I am frustrated right now. You have the spirit so direct us to a persons house by following the Spirit". So I said okay. I then came by this nice little humble home and I glanced at it and some thing spoke to me and said for us to go and knock on that door. So we did and this man was so excited and he was so nice! He said he loved the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and would love to know more. So we will be seeing him again some time this week. So that was a really cool and spiritual experience. It has been very hard but I have really been relying on my Father in Heaven. I always get

It's just the four of us!
put in these kind of situations but with trusting in him everything smoothes out and it will eventually get better.

Mom when I come home can we go straight to the temple? I want to go inside a temple so stinkin bad! Satan works hard. I have noticed that he works on me so much. Some nights a random person comes to me in my dreams and tells me to go home. And I don't even think of home at times? So I don't know. Its tough but I just have to pull through and keep pressing forward with faith!

Welcome to Nassau!
Aunt told me that you and dad are preparing a husband for me and that I will have 2 kids. She was hilarious! I was like "okay Aunt" and she just said that she was following the Spirit. HAHA! She is very old. Oh my goodness it was hilarious.

In our apartment we have AC! Oh my goodness I freeze to death at night now! From one extreme to the other. We have been having so much rain here though. So I don't know if we are having a hurricane? It has been pouring rain and it has been flooding the place here. It reminds me of Noah's time.

My first couple of days:)
Did I tell you how tiny Nassau is? As we were landing I could see the whole island of New Providence. Nassau is the city we are in. Me and Sister Woolf cover the whole bottom half of the island and the other 2 sisters cover the whole top part of the island (Sister Oman and Sister Bailey). It's just the four of us on this island doing the work on our own. Pretty cool huh? We are driving. Thank goodness we have 2 cars. Sister Oman can cook! She is going to make us some chicken enchiladas thank goodness! and we are thinking about making home made pizza and having a pizza night :) Sister Woolf is from Atlanta Georgia :) and Sister Oman is from a little town in Colorado.Trust me we have already had a lot of
A rainbow!! We got so excited!
conversations about our favorite state :).

But a funny story! Oh my goodness I can't believe I haven't told you this story! So okay me and Sister woolf were driving and it was flooded everywhere.. and she went over a speed bump a little too fast but we didn't see it cause it was flooded and she ended up hurting the bottom of the car and water got in it. It was so hilarious! we were laughing so hard. Isn't it funny as a missionary you go through some thing that is supposed to be a trial but you laugh and think it is hilarious? life of a missionary is always fun.

So our branch is called the New Providence Branch but everyone in the mission calls it Nassau cause it is easier. We actually have an actual Bishopric now! It is so exciting.. and an actual building :). We have like 90 members here. Its still kind of a small branch but bigger than Ochi thats for sure :) Its awesome.Woohoo! President Brown really prays a lot to know who to send here. We have to Skype with everyone for district meetings and zone meetings but for this Zone Conference coming up in August (I think the 23rd?) all the off islands are flying into Nassau and President Brown will be here which will be a lot of fun :) There are 4 elders serving in Freeport. They are the only off island Elders. Did I tell you that Elder Cornish is actually coming to our zone conference? How cool is that?!

I am going to be twenty!! woohoo!! partyyyy it up!! My sisters say they are going to make me a cake. I am so excited! but Sister Woolf said that Sister Oman likes to flour. So I will watch out for that. Sister Oman is younger than me. Her birthday is August 18th :) so she will be turning 20 too. So guess what?! After my Birthday it will be my 5 month mark!! its like having 2 birthdays in 1 week. Oh my goodness its just so awesome to be here , nice break! and I will be getting a haircut before I go back to Jamaica.
